Which items and risks are covered with a home insurance policy?

With a home insurance policy all movable things for private use are insured against four basic risks: fire, water, theft and glass breakage.

As movable things all objects are included which are not connected with a property and/or a building. This is for example furniture, in addition, household items, carpets, clothes, computers, bicycles etc. Furthermore leased or rented objects as well as items which are given for safekeeping or to use to the owner are included in a home insurance
